Broadway stars gathered in Times Square Sunday, June 19th, for Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth.
Tony Award winner Joaquina Kalukango sang, "For Good" in honor of Ben Vereen and Leslie Uggams earning the legacy award from The Broadway League.
Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart hosted the second annual event. He "geeked out" when Vereen & Uggams asked him for a hug.
Alex Newell closed out the Times Square event with a powerful rendition of "I Am Changing" from Dreamgirls that brought the audience to their feet for a standing ovation.
Nick Rashad Burroughs sings, "Lift Every Voice and Sing" at Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth.
Aisha Jackson sings, "Being Good Isn't Good Enough" from Hallelujah, Baby! at Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth.
