Jeremy O. Harris' Slave Play made history by garnering 12 Tony nominations including Best Play, the most ever for a play, and celebrated in style!

Aaron Tveit made history as well, being the only nominated actor for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. While this looks like he practically already won the Tony Award, sixty percent of the Tony voters still need to give him the vote. He was part of their 14 Tony nominations.

This leads to The Lighting Thief: The Percy Jackson musical.

While they were the only musical of the season with an original score, they weren't recognized by The League's nominating committee. They took the opportunity to celebrate the Tony nominees and especially Jeremy O. Harris.

The Tony Awards will be presented this Fall.
