The Barrio Sings Broadway

Updated: Jul 16, 2021

With In The Heights hitting the big screen, 54 Below hosted The Barrio Sings Broadway featuring Danny Bolero, J.J. Caruncho, Natalie Caruncho and Arielle Jacobs. The four actors have been in productions of In The Heights and performed both songs from the Tony Award-Winning Musical and other theatre classics set in the greatest city in the world - New York City!

J.J. Caruncho started the evening with a mashup of In The Heights and Another Hundred People, arranged by Music Director Drew Wutke.

Arielle Jacobs performed "Breathe" from In The Heights with Danny Bolero, J.J. Caruncho and Natalie Caruncho.

Danny Bolero sang, "Inútil," one of the numbers from the Broadway production cut for the In The Heights movie.

Each performer sang two numbers - one from In The Heights, and one from another classic. Natalie Caruncho was excited to sing, "Nothing" from A Chorus Line. Ask her why.

J.J. Caruncho performed the hit Newsies number, "Santa Fe."

Danny Bolero challenged ageism and sang, "Rewrite The Stars" from The Greatest Showman.

Arielle Jacobs channeled Thoroughly Modern Millie with her rendition of "Gimme, Gimme."

Natalie Caruncho gave us another song cut for the In The Heights movie, Nina's ballad "Everything I Know."

Danny Bolero, J.J. Caruncho, Natalie Caruncho and Arielle Jacobs closed out the evening with the fan-favorite In The Heights song, "When You're Home."
